Biography

Will and Cathy Haworth are newly assigned intern missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene assigned to Brazil.

Will graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1990 with a B.A. in religion. He received a M.Div. degree and a Certificate in Church Planting from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1995. Cathy also attended MidAmerica Nazarene University and majored in elementary education.

Prior to their appointment, Will served as associate pastor in a church plant in North Kansas City, Missouri from 1993-1995. He pastored a church plant in Kearney, Missouri from 1995-1998 and also served as a pastor in York, Nebraska from 1998-2002. Cathy has served as Children's Ministries Director in the local church and in Children's Ministries at Nazarene Headquarters.

Both Will and Cathy received their missionary call during their teen years. Will spent part of his childhood as a missionary kid in Uruguay, South America with the Church of the Nazarene. He yielded to the call at a teen camp when he was 17. He f inds it amazing to look back and see how God has prepared them and given him a vision to help start new churches as well as train pastors to go into established churches. Cathy says, "God has moved in miraculous ways to bring this appointment about in my life. God has given me a heart for children. My prayer is that I will be usable so that He can accomplish His will through me in Brazil."

Once in Brazil, the Haworths will be working with church planting and ministerial training in northern Brazil.

The Haworths have three children, Rebecca, Robert, and Rachel.
